McDonald's Happy Meal
A recycle-able box for everyone's favourite go-to from McDonald's, the Happy Meal. Using the toy house concept, this packaging is designed to teach children the importance of sustainability from a very young age. Recycling cardboards helps in saving trees which facilitates the prevention of global warming. According to SignalWaste (2022), this movement also plays a big role in the saving of energy, oil and space in the landfills.
Toy houses facilitate imaginative play that helps kids grow their social skills and make sense of the world. Kids act out social situations, imagine multiple perspectives and personalities, and perform practice runs of social conflicts (KidKraft, 2022). There are plenty of things that these children can learn from this activity such as the importance of daily routine, classification skills and sense of control.
